Nearly 2 years ago, Fernandina Beach Florida was heavily damaged after hurricane Irma. The hurricane left some areas in dangerous disrepair, such as the Fernandina Harbor Marina. Our team at Fender Marine Construction was hired by the city of Fernandina Beach to fabricate and install a floating breakwater around their fragile marina area. The photos below are from the facility in Tampa where we worked with a subcontractor to fabricate and transport the sections of floating breakwater to the Marina project.
